Christmas with family and friends
was lovely...
I cooked one day, my sister Debra,
the next.
I was glad to see my son Michio!
On a sad note,
my old friend, Kei Ishida;
owner of Club Kei, in Akasaka, Tokyo;
where I performed for many years,
informed me my dear friend Kenji Tsuboi
has passed away.
Kenji was a true friend to me
from beginning and all through
my many years in Tokyo, Japan.
A friend, music supporter, and patron of my art.
It was hard to say goodbye to him
in January 2023, when I left Japan.
His friendship was a rare blessing,
I cherish all my memories of him.
My sister Debra & I partook
of Fort Pierce's Jetty restaurant's 'Margarita Monday',
and then spent a few hours
watching the waves, birds, and surfers...
My sister and I went to Vero beach today.
We had a relaxed, nice time.
It was a good place to send a prayer out
for the memory of my late husband, Akio,
and our wedding day,
at City Hall, NYC.
He's been gone 2 years now...
I remember it snowed after, as we made our way
to our small Chinatown dinner party.
Today, it's sunny Florida on first day of Winter...

My 6 month visit/check up was yesterday.
It's always so nice to visit here, this street,
in any season, but Christmas season is always interesting!
This was my last visit, for awhile.
I will leave Japan next year.
I can't even say how much I will miss the people who have become my friends,
and places I've known here...
I will keep "Meladramas" up and running,
just from another location!
