Pink Poinsettias

I love flower shops
The scents, colors and textures-
Transport me to bliss!

these lovely pink poinsettias,
and sprigs of various evergreen.

Closer to Xmas, I will create an arrangement.

Snowy Egrets and Spanish Moss
10/15/'24

Just yesterday, Debra and I wound up in the Jensen beach area.
The wind was picking up, along this backroad along the water.
We stopped to get our bearings,
and I got out to photograph this most unusual looking tall shrub,
nearby...
But then I felt something stinging my ankle.
I looked down to see red ants crawling on my feet and ankles.
I got them all off,
and returned to the car...

I did get a great shot of that bush...

Today, the Internet is back!

This weary beauty
Rested on my fingertips
And then flew away...

Milton and the connected tornados
wreaked havoc on this area.

We were fortunate,
to not be hit directly by tornados,
just rain and high winds,
but there were damaged power and internet lines.
Some lost their homes and lives.

Although we have power,
we've only just got internet back,
after a week...

I am thankful to all the repair people,
who finally got it done!

After the Autumn Equinox,
it's officially Fall...

I'm not yet completely acclimated to the Florida-version.
I do miss the cooler weather, dramatic colors and light,
the scents, and darker days...

Not a complaint, mind you,
just an observation.
