White Autumn Roses,
After Rain

This year's Autumn is:
Rain, more rain, heat, bugs, more rain...
October is here!

© 2026 Pamela MacCarthy

The flowers love the rain...

I got my passport, at last.

Not as easy as it once was,
but then it was a mail-in,
to the Tokyo Embassy.
The new USA passports are quite a wonder,
in their intricacies...

My health is on track...

And, I got a haircut.

No photo, yet.
Here are the digital drawings
I presented my haircutter,
whom I've been seeing more than
a year now...

Since first getting my very long
straight ponytail chopped off,
into a very chic short do.
Then, a pause, during my "beret time",
then the slow progress (and haircuts)
while regrowing my new,
silver streaked, curly hair!

"October Haircut"

Digital

My hairstyle is now as this digital image,
except the back.
To get that "W" effect,
it would require a close clipper cut.
So instead, I opted for a scissor created "shingle"...

Big thanks to my hairdresser, Kattya M.!

I went to visit the Empress Onyx,
and we hung out for a little while.
Our friendship is forever,
and although I don't see her day to day
as I once did,
when we meet, it's fun.

I've been busy dealing with the places
one needs to, to survive here.
I am great at organizational skills, and debate
but automated nonsense throws it all
to the wind.
It's like a bumper sticker I once read:

"I once had a handle on life,
but it broke off."

Anyhoo, a visit to see kitty
cheers me up!

Remembering my
incredibly wonderful
kitty-girl, Onyx...

© 2026 Pamela MacCarthy

This was taken the night before I moved...
Her multi-colored ball landed
on table, near my coffee cup.
She stood up to get it.

We've hung out together since she was tiny.
Now, I won't see her everyday,
but my Empress Onyx stays on with me.

Thank You

Already, I miss the kitty, Empress Onyx.
Everyday I would see her and we would hang out.
But she isn't mine,
and when I moved, we had to part.

I hope to visit her...

My friend Vicki and I went to the Marina

I went to the exact spot I was at 2 years ago
at my first Florida viewing,
with my sister and bro-in-law...

Last year's event was rained out.

Earlier, my son Michio was here
to join us and visiting family,
in 4th of July festivities.

It was a great to see him again.
