Yesterday I rode out on my bicycle,
to visit the spot where I was a year ago,
during the big earthquake,
on March 11, 2011.
The sun was out,
so I decided to continue out to the Kyodo no Mori Park,
for the Ume-Matsuri. (Plum Blossom Festival)
Due to the cold weather we've been experiencing,
the blooms are late; and the date of this event has been extended
to March 20th.
As of yesterday, the blossoms are just starting to open...

On this rainy Friday,
I'd like to spruce up the place

in Yokohama.

of old friends, and great musicians.

Happy Birthday to Meladramas,
9 years old, and counting...
Last night,
I had a gig in Yokohama,
with a piano trio of old friends/musicians.
It was a cold, rainy night,
and traveling alone, I was feeling feckless...
I finally reached Sakuragicho station,
when, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
but Bubby's, New York City Pie & Coffee...

I felt better already...
I had a slice of chocolate cake that was a meal.
With coffee, the best cake I've had in a long time...
