I'm moved into my new space,
no easy feat, but it's done.
Already, I miss the kitty, Empress Onyx.
Everyday I would see her and we would hang out.
But she isn't mine,
and when I moved, we had to part.

I hope to visit her...

Late Afternoon Reflections
on the Lake

Watching the water
While clearing mental static
Brings me clarity...

Empress Onyx came to visit me
for a day.
I shared my water with her:
I pulled some of my ice water
from my straw to the lid of my cup,
and she lapped it up.
It's very hot here now,
kitties must stay hydrated...

The Fountain: A View from 5th Floor

I took some time out
To rest and recuperate
In a hospital...

I spent a few days getting
the care I needed.
I'm on the mend now,
it'll be a little while,
before I'm 100%...

I can't say thanks enough
to all who helped me; Marisol, Wayne, Vicki,
and all my caregivers at hospital.
And especially to my dear friend Janine
whose advice to get to the ER
I took seriously.

In hospital, I watched the final Knicks vs. Spurs
game.
My nurse, Antony, was with me.
We watched the final winning moments together.
It was cool...

I got home on the 14th.
Now, I rest and take care of myself...
