My dear friend Yoshie
sent me this photo from a few years ago to the day, today.
The mood of it seems so starkly different,
after a summer on survival mode.
The extensive COVID-19 cancelations, postponements and restrictions
on every sort of thing in life,
are making it difficult to smile!
This photo reminds me of a free-er time; a normal life,
and how. much. I. miss. it.

Thursday, I went to Kyodo No Mori,
a beautiful forest-like historical site, in my neighborhood...
My friend, Iijima-san,
joined me.
I so enjoy strolling around this space...
