One of my favorite pianists, has passed away.
Ramsey Lewis passed away peacefully, at 87.
I loved his music with The Trio; "The "In" Crowd", his great Christmas LP's,
his "Sun Goddess" LP, with Earth, Wind and Fire...
But this tune particularly, always managed to make me smile,
and made me feel like a member of the "in" crowd, just by listening to it:

I'm seeing these red Spider Lilies (Higanbana)
making their appearance,
all along the roadsides, as I bicycle past...
Changes in daily landscape are sometimes so subtle,
while other times so abrupt, I wonder what causes such changes,
seemingly overnight...
This morning, I blinked twice, while looking into my small medicine bowl...
A small visiter blinked back...
