I painted this in August, 1995, while visiting with my son Michio at my mother’s house,
in upstate, NY…
My youngest sister Bonnie,
watched me while I worked…
My mother had extensive gardens, and I so enjoyed painting from them…
This piece sits high on my wall, above my desk,
I see it everyday, but it has never been documented before…
I thought it was time for that to change…
Such nostalgia
when looking at my old works;
a much simpler time...
