Last night was the annual fireworks exhibition,
at Tokyo Race Course,
in Fuchu…
My friends and I met there,
and shared our different food dishes, beer, wine, cold tea and coffee…
The rainy season seems to have morphed into hot Tokyo Summer;
the heat has definitely ratcheted up a few notches,
but the clear skies made for a spectacular fireworks show!
We were fortunate to get a break in the rain; it was an overcast, cool and cloudy day,
and although Mt. Fuji could not be seen,
a most gorgeous view was closer to the ground!
The scent of lavender had a calming effect,
the longer we spent there,
the more the effects could be felt...
There was this gorgeous new-age/ambient type keyboard music playing,
I noticed from the moment we got out of the car...
I am a big fan of ambient music; Brian Eno, Harold Budd, Clive Wright, Robin Guthrie,
are some of my favorites…
The music I was hearing was definately in that vein...
I thought it was piped in, but as we made our way along the lake,
and across the lavender field, there he was, a keyboard wizard!
