I find hydrangea’s colors in the rain, hypnotizing.
Eye candy, but, no scent...
I’m noticing subtle color shifts in the landscape;
the Summer trumpet flowers, or 'nozen kazura',
with fire-y orange tubular bells,
have arrived with stark contrast to the water-y blue, magenta, purple, white, and pink hydrangeas…
Also, many thanks to Une-san, manager of SOMETIME, for her hospitality,
my son Michio, and my dear friends, old and new, who came out to see me,
and bring me flowers!
