Indian Summer...

Yesterday, while waiting to see my doctor,
I sat in the gardens and sketched a single Marigold
with a marker pen...
Later at home, I digitalized it, for color, and texture,
and added my Haiku directly to the page :

Now that he oppressive heat and humidity have let up;
replaced by cooler, more comfortable walking temperatures,
lollygagging has resumed...
I stopped by a new garden shop...
There was a huge yellow and black monarch butterfly darting from one plant to another,
and the more I tried to catch a photo of it,
the more it elluded me...
But, it lead me to this, my newest balcony garden addition :
