Yesterday, my students of English Conversation took me to lunch at a lovely café in our vicinity...
It features an English styled garden, with a pathway to roses, seasonal flowers, herbs, and grasses...
Inside, are the dining rooms, with outdoor terraces.
First, we were served a cold rose hip tea that was very refreshing after our walk in the humidity and heat of the rainy season.
The food was delicious, and my students and I enjoyed the lunch, served with freshly baked raisin & cranberry bread.
I loved the beautiful English-style crockery; teacups & saucers, & teapots all daintily hand-painted with roses...
After lunch, we walked through the garden.
Although peak time for roses was in May, we were still able to see and smell a few beauties :
