Just yesterday, Debra and I wound up in the Jensen beach area.
The wind was picking up, along this backroad along the water.
We stopped to get our bearings,
and I got out to photograph this most unusual looking tall shrub,
nearby...
But then I felt something stinging my ankle.
I looked down to see red ants crawling on my feet and ankles.
I got them all off,
and returned to the car...
I did get a great shot of that bush...
Today, the Internet is back!

Pomegranate

I love pomegranates.
I could not buy these easily while I lived in Japan,
but they're in season, here, now.
I was hoping to use this in a still life,
but instead I needed to do a meditative intuitive work,
rather than a heavy-focus realism piece.
In the same vein (not only the materials used, but frame of mind)

Milton and the connected tornados
wreaked havoc on this area.
We were fortunate,
to not be hit directly by tornados,
just rain and high winds,
but there were damaged power and internet lines.
Some lost their homes and lives.
Although we have power,
we've only just got internet back,
after a week...
I am thankful to all the repair people,
who finally got it done!
