“The thing to do is to forget about the heat... You make it ten times worse by crabbing about it.”
Tom Buchanan; "The Great Gatsby", -F. Scott Fitzgerald
That's a genuine challenge in Tokyo at this time of the year.
Truly, I wish to join Jay Gatsby on his estate in West Egg, Long Island,
but since this is unlikely, I'll have to make do, here...
The local pool is where I go to get cool, in a hurry.
Yesterday was the day of the ox, in Japan.
People eat grilled eel (unagi) on rice,
to bolster themselves through the Midsummer heat.
But this year, it is less abundant,
and more expensive...
I never liked the stuff.
More cherries, blueberries, ice cream and watermelon,
for me, please...
On the way to the pool :

Hotter Than July...
Today, after 3 full years,
I will finish my present Saturday English Conversation Class...
It has been a rewarding experience,
and I will miss each one of my students,
and wish them well...
Till Next Time...
