The gorgeous puffy dramatic summer clouds,
I've been noticing lately,
were my influences here.
I was trying to capture the essence of " fleeting"...
The kanji "Hen-ka" or change,
puts a name to it...
A house that had been across the street,
through all of my years living here,
has been recently demolished,
to make way for an eventual wider street,
and a new house.
It started recently, one early July afternoon,
with the buzz-sawing of all the pine and fruit trees,
surrounding the house;
an excellent source of shade, in Summer.
It was a two-story Japanese-style house,
with lovely clay roof tiles.
Now, only the foundation remains;
angular concrete lines in dirt,
as evidence it was there...
