The holidays are over,
but for me,
it ain't over yet-
My birthday is on Sunday, January 9th.
I have no plans to publicly perform on my birthday.
It's on a Sunday,
and I prefer to celebrate
quietly this year.
But I do have a big show coming up in March,
I will post more details very soon.
It will be one of a few concerts to celebrate my 20th year
of performing Live Jazz in Tokyo!

I recently remembered a song from the Broadway musical "Pippin".
Back in high school, my music teacher, Mr. Richard Armitage
took us unruly galoots to see this play
at the Imperial Theater, in NYC.
I had never seen a brighter smile than Ben Vereen's...
