I recently recorded a demo
for an upcoming TV commercial...
If my bit is chosen,
Tokyo will hear me singing a cool
jazz ditty
for all of 45 seconds...
But if you prefer better odds,
I recommend the Artist Cafe, Tokyo Dome Hotel, 43F.
Saturday night,March 27th,
I will be performing 3 shows,
starting from 7:30 pm.
Moreno Bussoletti, will join me on piano,
and Takata, Ichi on bass...

Michio and I celebrated
the first day of Spring holiday
by biking over to the Kyodo no Mori park.
We missed the plum blossoms.
The trees were bare-
The pause before the leaves bust out...
A kindly old gentlemen seemed to read
our slightly disappointed faces,
as he pointed to some early-blooming cherry blossoms;
"The same ones as in Washington, D.C.,"
he reported...
There were daffodils, multi-colored poppies, camellias,
magnolias, ducks in ponds, babbling brooks, kids throwing frisbees...
But honestly,
I was content just to walk in the sunshine,
amidst the budding green leaves
with my son,
and just be.
Hallelujah, Spring!
Walking together silent
listening, seeing...

Plum Blossoms

Early Spring blossom season is upon us,
and not one minute too soon!
I hope to take advantage of it,
with a visit to the Kyodo-no-Mori gardens,

The plums there are exquisite!
