Yesterday, I braved the cold to make a Shrine visit, and get my annual 'fortune' predictions...
I went alone.
I like the festival-like atmosphere, walking in.
Much food, games, and merchandise stalls, line both sides of the walkway. Overhead are red and white lanterns, each bearing kanji-caligraphy written names of the towns affiliated to this shrine; the Okunitachi Ginja...

The stall owners call out "Irasshai-mase" (Welcome, your money...) as I pass...
I like this peaceful place, walking along. Being outdoors, it is not constricting in any way...
As I approach the altar, I first wash my hands with a wooden ladle of water from a well. Then, I pass through a wooden gate up, to the altar, throw a coin, clap twice, bow my head, close my eyes and pray...
After, I got my 'fortune'. I drew # 24, 'big luck', for this year...

Now, how to get old iPod files back on my computer! Suggestions?
