"The Plum Blossoms"
45 X 37.5 cm oil pastel,
Aquarelle watercolor pencils, India ink, gouache
In February, I created this painting as a commission.
I decided to re-explore a technique using a medium combination I used 10 or more years ago.
Now, painting mostly in gouache,
I've missed the "drawing" aspect of using oil pastels...

"The Snowball Tree"

A poem popped in my head, just recently.
The subject was of the time when I created "The Snowball Tree."
I wrote it down, right away...
I sat on my mothers lawn,
sketching "The Snowball Tree"
I didn't know she was standing by the clothesline,
near to me...
Mozart was playing on my headphones,
in the sky a storm was starting to form-
My mother stood at a distance
watching her firstborn...
