I saw the films Kill Bill vol 1, & vol. 2, last night.
I didn't think I would like them.
It was fortunate that my first viewing of these films was consecutively-
After the first film,
who the hell wants to wait a year or more for vol. 2?
I thought I would hate the violence in these films-
Although the gore was realistic in appearance,
it never allowed me to absorb horror.
Like a top-notch video game, a lot of fun, but not real.
What was truly odd to me is how damn fast the time went!
What felt like 30 minutes, was an hour and a half!
The screenplay, characters, animation, scenery, music, and costumes, all-
Fantastic!
I especially liked Bill's speech at the end, to The Bride:
"Superman is the only superhero who doesn't wear a costume to be himself,
he wears a costume to hide himself"...
I'm off to a "barby" party at the Australian Embassy.
