I'm glad I have this work to present today,
creating it helped with the sting of recent events:
I was offered a gig singing the National Anthem
at Tokyo Dome this Friday,
for the post season opening game
between Japan and the USA.
Imagine my excitement.
Then, it was all taken away-
Poof.
I wonder if acupuncture could be used for a little mind bending...
Leaning in your corner
like a candidate for wax
Sidewalk social scientist don't get no satisfaction
from your cigarette
It's ten to ten and time is running out
Lock up all your memories
Get outta here, you know that we can run
Today can last another million years
Today could be the end of me
It's 11:59,
and I want to stay alive...
