I remember Rodney Dangerfield from my NYC days, in the 80's
at his nightclub Dangerfields
on First Avenue.
Back then he would hold a "talent" night, for many up and comers,
and some of the already theres too.
On the nights I had off from my piano bar gig,
I sometimes used to sing there between comic sets.
Another one of the great comedians I met there was Jackie Mason..
Rodney was always willing to give upstarts a shot.
A lot of today's comics knew Rodney back when.
God Bless You, Rodney Dangerfield.
I hope you find that giant room of laughs
in the sky...
"It's granite out there"...

Till next time... 'Mela
