May is here, at last!
The air is getting that lightness
that both thrills and terrifies me.
That lightness of flying/falling...

First I want to say Adio and Rest in Peace to one of my favorite authors, Kurt Vonnegut.
I have been spellbound by his writing since I first read his Breakfast of Champions, many moons ago.
Slaughterhouse 5 is one of my favorites of his; also Palm Sunday, Galápagos, & TIMEQUAKE...
My gigs at B-flat, Akasaka; and HALFTONE, Tachikawa went very well...
I caught a cold right after my performance at B-flat. It was a cold, rainy night on that 4th of April, but the place was filled... It was video'd, and Keisaku recorded the night's performance to MP3. Perhaps a DVD in future?
I'll post pics from the B-flat show soon.
Contrary to superstitions, Friday the 13th was a lucky night for me at HALFTONE !
My cold finally lifted enough to allow me to sing- After days of vit C and TLC, I was able to do a good show.
Keisaku Takahashi was brilliant, on piano, and I played a few tunes on my resonator...
My son Michio came along to the gig and carried my guitar for me. He also took this photo:

Thanks to all my friends both new and old, who showed up to support me. It was a warm breezy night, with good company and music!
My next appearance is at a new club in Akasaka; (it's very near to B-flat) home to jazz stride pianist Takeshi "Joe" Kamachi.
The premises has been aptly named "JOE".
I will be appearing there this Friday, April 20. Showtimes: 7:30pm - 11:00pm. Address: Royal Plaza, B1, 2-13-8 Akasaka, Minato-ku, Tokyo. Phone: 03 3584 1141
